Kirsten Hamm, born and raised in Atlanta Georgia, was introduced to dance at 4 years old, however quit immediately when given the chance. She was more interested in other activities, dancing on occasion until she was admitted into her high school DeKalb School of the Arts. Her passion for dance was sparked after little time at the school, and she noticed there was a reason that although she tried to escape, dance continued to find a way into her life. During high school Kirsten also danced in various styles around the city of Atlanta at places such as Dance 411, The Atlanta Ballet, and Dancemakers of Atlanta. She has had the privilege of working with the likes of Angela Harris (Dance Canvas choreographic company), Lonnie Davis, Tracy Vogt, and Lauri Stallings and the Atlanta Ballet in their collaboration with recording artist Big Boi of Outkast.

Hamm then attended Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Dallas, TX, from which she has recently graduated with a BFA degree in dance performance. During her time at SMU, she has danced with the likes of Jawole Zollar, Millicent Johnnie, and Billy Siegenfeld, choreographed works for SMU’s renown Brown Bag Dance Series and Sharp Show, and performed in and helped choreograph for interdisciplinary works performing at various venues in downtown Dallas’s Bishop Arts district, Deep Ellum’s club Lizard Lounge, and even in South Africa. In addition Kirsten has performed as a member of professional Dallas-based companies Contemporary Ballet Dallas and Pedestrian Dance Movement, and also in various hip hop videos and performances, including venues such as Moes Custom AutoFest.

Kirsten recently moved back to her hometown here in Atlanta and is currently a member of both ATLA and Groove 2 Musik companies.
